This isn't my normal kind of blog post but if I'm honest I haven't had a lot of motivation and inspiration to write. I've just not had any thoughts to write about and there's been no stories in the news or magazines that have caught my eye. So on that note, I wanted to speak about what I do when I have no motivation to do much and when I'm having moments where I'm just feeling a bit down in the dumps. I write my thoughts in a book my friend got for me as a 17th birthday present.
I think it's a good way to let loose and speak about things, I suppose it's somewhat like a diary. Diaries tend to be seen as pretty old fashioned but it doesn't hurt to have a place to let out how you're feeling if you don't feel like speaking to people. Every evening when I'm settled in bed I'll grab my book and write about the whole day, things that have made me laugh, things that have got me worried...all sorts. I want to look back at it with my family when I'm older and laugh about all the things I did when I was a teenager.
Yesterday, I also got one of Keri Smiths famous books 'Wreck This Journal' - £8.99 at Waterstones (thanks, mum). I can't wait to start it because I think it will also be a way to let myself chill out and take my mind off of things. It's nice that just simple things are there to do when we feel a bit rubbish, I just don't think people take them on board.
It's Nice To Write.
