This Week.

I thought I'd just touch upon a few stories in the news this week! So, let's go.

The big one that has stuck out for me is the feud that Jake Bugg has started against One Direction. Unnecessary or not? Personally, I think he's being so unnecessary and I would even say that if I wasn't a One Direction fan because he's being completely rude for no reason at all. I like Jake Bugg, or should I say liked. Once you realise someone has an awful personality it kind of puts you off, doesn't it? He was reported to of said that he doesn't understand why they are classed as a band and that they were there to just 'look good'. Well, how rude. Then at the NME Awards (One Direction won Worst Band while Harry picked up Villain Of The Year) Jake suggested that they didn't write their own songs and that he finds it hard to listen to music which doesn't come from the 'heart and soul'...alright, soppy. If he would look at who writes the songs he would discover they DO in fact have a part to play, assumptions, assumptions. Last week Niall and Louis responded to Jake Bugg on Twitter, Louis making a remark at how 'indie' he is, however, he is yet to respond...very indie of him. Let's see where this goes, shall we? Maybe after One Direction finish their sold out world tour.

In other news it came to be announced that Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran were a couple, GASP, SHOCK, AH. WHAT?! That was my reaction. Apparently they had been together last year and now they were too. Oh, blimey Taylor doesn't mess about does she? I love the girl, I do, but maybe she should take a break...buy a puppy or something. Although, this hasn't been confirmed as far as I know but I'm sure if it's all true we will see them on the streets of New York like we did when everyone was speculating about her relationship with Harry Styles. That's another thing, Harry and Ed are best friends and it's the same girl, ouch.

Katie Price is preggers with her new fiancée, bit quick isn't it. I always used to like her when she was with Peter Andre  because she seemed fairly stable and decent, but she's gone a bit cray cray since. 

V Festival line up was announced this week and then the tickets went on sale. The line up is fairly good, Beyoncé is the headliner alongside Kings Of Leon (what have they even done lately?) so she will be drawing in a lot of fans who didn't get tickets for her tour in the UK. But all in all the line up looks quite good! I'm sure it'd be a good weekend. 

Brit Awards 2013 Predictions.

The Brit Awards 2013 are held tonight and I am very excited! I always look forward to watching them because it's such a good evening for British music, always really good to watch. There's a lot of talent nominated for tonight's awards so as I sat here on this boring Wednesday afternoon, I thought I would make a post about my predictions for each category. Tomorrow I'll be doing a post to talk about it and the winners!

BRITISH MALE SOLO ARTIST

Ben Howard
Calvin Harris
Olly Murs
Richard Hawley

My Prediction: Ben Howard. 
Ben Howard has been so hyped up the past year or so, I think this would give him the recognition he truly deserves as a really good artist.

BRITISH BREAKTHROUGH ACT

My Prediction: Rita Ora/Ben Howard 
This seems a bit like a tough category as all of the artists are really good! Rita Ora has been massive the last year though so I think she stands a fairly good chance. So does Ben Howard though as I said already.

Bat for Lashes
Emeli Sandé
Jessie Ware
Paloma Faith

My Prediction: Emeli Sandé
No doubt Emeli will win this category and perhaps even the other categories she is in too. I find her quite boring (oh, shoot me) but that's just because I'm really not interested in female solo singers much. They just don't appeal to me. But I think she DOES have pure talent and that's why she would probably stand a very good chance winning this.

My Prediction: One Direction/Mumford & Sons 
Of course I was going to say One Direction, you all know that. I think they do deserve it in all honesty, they do produce good music that is really catchy, you will catch most people singing along to a song of theirs. But they're up against many other groups who are the complete opposite. That is why I think Mumford & Sons might take it, they're an amazing band and stand a big chance of winning. If it's not either of these then I really don't know.

My Prediction: Lana Del Ray 
Lana has been massive just lately and obviously has a big fan base in the 'indie' music world, so she could quite possibly take the Brit award. The rest of the category have a chance though, but who is Cat Power? Am I being stupid? Nope, no idea. But if Taylor Swift won then the whole of my Twitter timeline would be going mental from One Direction fans crying about it, so that might be funny to watch actually.

BRITISH LIVE ACT

Mumford & Sons
Rolling Stones
The Vaccines
Muse

My Prediction: Coldplay 
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. Their tour last year looked incredible and how they got the crowd involved with the colourful wristbands, they have to win. If they don't I will eat my own face. But saying that, Rolling Stones could have a chance? They're ageing a big aren't they, yet they still have a fan base. I've seen The Vaccines live when they supported Arctic Monkeys and they're also very good but generally, I don't think they're overly well known by just random people. We'll see.

Now, I don't really know about this one I've just chosen FUN because they are...fun? No, not really. I have seen them live and they were actually really good and their songs are catchy. But, I really can't call this one. The Script obviously have a good chance but I'm not too sure.

I LITERALLY HAVE NO IDEA WHO ANY OF THEM ARE SO IT'S POINTLESS EVEN TRYING TO PREDICT AHHH.

I just have that feeling, everyone raves about his album Channel Orange, I think he really could get it.

There's far too many in this category and I really couldn't call it!

I can't wait to watch tonight and I think my predictions will be all wrong knowing me, we will see!

Oh, Taylor.

So, The Grammys 2013 happened last night and oh, wasn't it full of talking points. But, I want to speak about a situation that got a lot of my Twitter timeline talking. Taylor Swift. I love her, I've said that in a previous post about 'Haylor', I stick to that because despite the fact she may make song after song about her relationships and make a certain remark (which I am going to talk about) to a certain ex of hers, she is still an amazing singer/song writer.

Taylor opened the awards ceremony by singing her hit "We Are Never Getting Back Together". In this song a line pops up - in the video she is seen talking on the phone to her 'ex'. At the Grammys she sung the line "I still love you" (which is said by her ex)...in a British accent. A British accent. Who do we know who is British, who she dated? Oh yes, Harry Styles. OH BURN, HARSH, OUCH. A tad too bitchy, Taylor? I'm not sure, but a lot of people are not very happy I can tell you that for free.

For starters, the English accent didn't sound like Harrys however, does she want to make it any more obvious? I woke up this morning to see this all over my timeline, I was a bit like "oh, haha" then I was a bit like "oh, that's not nice". It actually isn't THAT nice is it? Because, she's just shamed him to millions of people, perhaps insinuating that he has called her? Or was she just being funny...who knows?

Anyway, we'll see if Harry fights back. I think he's too much of a gentleman to do that and I'm not even being biased, I genuinely think he's a lovely boy and all the press he gets isn't that great.

Well, that's it for today. Taylor Swift VS Males continues. (I still love you Taylor Swift, you are my queen - you're not really but you're like my 'I'm really sad, I need some sad songs to listen to' queen)

The Rise Of Haylor.

Well, Harry has only gone and got himself a new chick in the form of Taylor Swift. I love that girl, she is my girl. She's the girl I listen to when I'm depressed about boys, I listen to her when I want to pretend I am singing on the bridge at college. She is THE GIRL.

But now she's the girl that people in the One Direction 'fandom' are despising, lets take it back before all this came out, everyone loved her because as I would describe her she is the girl who understands every teenage girls brain. If I like a boy I will literally scream 'you belong with me' in my head, thanks to Miss T Swift. 

Obviously, it hasn't been confirmed so we're all just assuming but as soon as all of these pictures of them in New York together have come out it's like a world war has begun because a photo is obviously confirmation enough for One Direction fans. 

Everyone has their opinions on them, I have opinions on Joey and Lauren Branning on Eastenders and I don't know them so it's okay to have opinions! But when people are saying disgusting things aimed towards her, that's when opinions should be kept to yourselves. Nobody deserves death threats. 

They looked cute together in New York on Sunday (and she had a nice coat on, where is it from? and he always looks great in a beanie) so who are we to judge them? We don't have the right.

BUT OH NO, THOSE WERE NOT THE LAST WE SAW OF THEM TOGETHER, to add to the stress of all of your poor hearts they were holding hands last night after the Madison Square Garden gig and going back to her hotel it seems. 'Were the photos photo-shopped or were they genuine?!' - the questions I saw on my twitter timeline all day. Who cares if they were holding hands (apart from millions) they are human, if they want to get freaky with each other at Taylor's hotel then so be it!

Maybe it is serious and everyone should just give him some space for once in his life, the media clearly ruined past relationships so maybe this one could work for him - but they do live on opposite sides of the world but that's a different story.

Lets just take a moment to think about this question...imagine how beautiful and talented their children would be. That is all.
